Entertaining with Class

With today's economy sagging and the urge to gather not...we are all in a conundrum. We desire the company of others to forget, commiserate, or to idealize the moment of which we are in or the moments we wish to occur. Planning a gathering is usually costly and time consuming. Having this concept deeply embedded into our beings, we as a populace tend to edit the amount of gatherings rather than feed our need to gather often.

We are hoping to assist you with all of your party planning needs. This blog is intended to be your Bible for Entertaining with class and efficiency. Everyone loves to gather, laugh, and enjoy refreshments. Perhaps we would choose to offer more forums for these precious moments if we knew how to set an ambiance which is affordable and not so overwhelming to execute. This is where we come in. In the following months and the many anticipated blogs to follow, our intent is to show you how to put together gatherings of many sorts...be it by theme, a party focused on wine, a party focused on appetizers, but always a party focused on the people who will comprise the mood and memories.

As we know, there are many types of parties to be had. We all throw them and we all attend them. Some require a dress code of evening wear while others simply suggest to attend after a quick shower and a positive attitude. Regardless of your affair's set, we shall provide you with the tools to execute any event at any time and most importantly, at an affordable price.

To begin, each host/hostess shall take inventory of their serving settings. For hors d'oeuvres, develop a collection of plates which are easy to clean, easy to display, and compliment most settings. This collection could be comprised of pewter, mexican pewter, or a plethora of ceramics. It is important to be creative. Begin with your first gathering making it simple and designed around a creative theme.

Begin with the season that you are currently in...i.e., Spring. Spring lends itself to Easter and Passover gatherings. In this instance, you are striving to attend to the needs of many ages. An Easter or Passover meal will always have the main entree which will require a large platter. Side dishes will be served complimenting the large platter. For Spring, we always embody soft and warm colors. Glassware can be clear accentuating the colorful palette of food displayed. Table pieces lend themselves to anything alive, green, and budding...soft pinks, yellows, blues, etc.

When we think Spring, we think of rebirth, all that was planted reviving itself. Perhaps, a new beginning. With this in mind, the creativity can splurge into many directions.

In the future blogs, we shall demonstrate complete examples of meals, dishes for meals to be served upon, flatware, glassware, linens, music, invitations and a plethora of appetizers to chose from.

We encourage you to check in and extract from the text or begin a dialogue of which we can specifically detail your event.

Let us celebrate life and share life with others...tastefully!
